Reckon your REFUGE!

= the state of being safe or sheltered from pursuit, danger, or difficulty.
Refuge is an escape from one thing may be we cannot face to the other thing which may be gives us peace or make us feel safe. Safe is all what we want to feel. Security is what we want. We humans fear too much, hence we have this need to feel safe constantly.
With the series of disappointment , hurt, failure, our source of refuge keeps changing, also may be with age it does too.
All of us seek refuge in something or the other. It may be a person ( friends, spouse, parents, children) ,God, it could be music, art, poetry, travel, books, movies, gyming, gaming, gossiping, slumbering, slogging at work, savings, bank balance, lavish shopping spree, degrees, medals, fame, material gains, addiction, etc, etc. Phew!!! It’s endless number of things.
All these things may give us peace and safety but, it is all temporary (ooi ma!!! Too philosophical? Naaahh!!). All this to me is hiding but not sheltering from danger. We run from one burrow to another all our life. Seeking safety from danger around us. When all the danger is within us.
Dangers like misunderstanding, ignorance, ego, needless hurtful talks and comments, lie, anger, rigidity, pointing fingers, lie, self obsession, false self identity, superiority, animosity. You name it we do it, without a second thought.
Danger is within us, then how can we get peace from an outside source?
The real refuge I say is within us, do away all the dangers within and you are safe everywhere and trust me from evrything ,then- ‘Almighty becomes your compass and your soul your Google map.’

……..à suivre!!!

Personal Note & BV Details#05

My dear parents and reader friends , the series of  blog posts  on being a parent  is all my personal experience. This blog marks the closure to my series of 05 blog posts. It is my growth, transition, discovery. As I penned in my introductory blog, it’s my journey within.  From a 1st time mommy to a person, may be who has become a lot  calmer, a lot  more sorted, a lot more  human, a lot more  content, a lot more grateful, above all a lot more ME!

I write on topics which are close to my heart. I try  to practise what I write, write  what I believe  in.  One of it, is Bala Vihar ( BV).  It’s the need for every child, irrespective  of any religion or community.

Greeting each other with a Hari Om! Jai Jinendra! Sat Sri Akal! Jai Shree Ram! Saying more of any one of these  would not make me less of my community or more of other. Also BV doesn’t  promote or support one particular  deity or any particular religion. The only statement-  is maximum happiness for maximum time, for maximum people!!!

Rather it will strengthen the roots of any religion for that matter become more acceptable towards people of other  community and grow together as a family around the world.

BV is a way to strengthen their roots and keep their heart to family, values, culture and realise  the essence of life.

Also it is absolutely  Free! Free! Free! It just costs your  time and effort to spare 90mins every  sunday mornings ( I understand sundays are lazy days). I see it  as a day to get charged up, it is like time to collect  all the super  powers within. All set to cast a spell on the world with your super power.

I will be lying if I say-  I did not dream of my child performing on stage or coming on television or getting medals or scoring 1st in sports and academics. We all do😁 It’s  just  that I realised (off late)  there is more to life than all this.

I will  also be lying if don’t  mention that  when I was sick ( recently) all that mattered was how well he spoke to me, how patient and polite he was to me, how well he took care of me ( thoda over hogaya shayad, but it’s  a fact!). As a parent  we must  teach our  children what  actually  matters !

With so much of negativity around  it is important  to nurture positivity in our  child from childhood , as to they become responsible citizens and make not only us proud,  but live humbly proud of all what each one of us is blessed with.

I have this suggestion wherein  I  want your help, guidance , views,  thoughts to start this monthly series blog titled BEHNA ( sister) BLOGS. Wherein we talk just about anything and everything that matters to us. Just about whatever on earth. We can talk from anything  dead serious to just about any nonsense.

like-

* Why is that men are called ‘male chauvinist pigs’?

*Why women are so obsessed with how they are looking?

*Why is that ‘ek aurat hee dusri aurat ki dushman hoti hai’ ( one woman is the enemy of another woman)?

*Why is the percentage of women so less in military in India?

*How the hell does nagin ( television series in India) get highest TRPs?

*Why is that recently senseless lyrics sell in Indian cinema?

Behna Chup Na Rehna ( sisters don’t stay quiet)!

Just flood in with questions, suggestions, discussions. Damn with every worry, judgments ,repercussions. Just pen down whatever!

…aao adopt karein!

‘Unless you can truly enhance their lives, you should not have childern’-Sadhguru. True that !! A child is a bundle of joy, a promise for a potential better future. A child is a responsibility, that too a freaking serious one. Cannot afford to be unsure. Raising a child, is raising our consciousness at every level of our day to day being.

So my post today is on ‘adoption’.  Why adoption,  because Bharat main no one really gives it a thought. Khudko nai sambhaal saktey sala!!! ADOPTION..LOL!!!  Itnaa sab mehanga hai…baap re…this inflation suckssss!!!  Aur haan..’ Paraaye Khoon Ko Waaris Kaun Banayega?’ aur ”haila!!! adoption kyu?” Keeping all this aside. Why is that we are still not open  about it??? I ask each one of us. I am talking about non-compulsive adoption. Wherein a couple should give a thought of adopting atleast one child and  have one biological child, jaise ” hum do humarey do.”

Dude am I making sense???? Please comment, exchange your views. Waise sach main kisiko padi nai!!! Why is that the idea of adoption not only hidden in thick books of wise words, but stays there only collecting dust. We are no less than puppets or animals kept in zoo where the ring master is the society governing our life.. Isn’t it? So how does one cut this cultural and social web of being monitored?

(Hoping that someone will consider:)

I can’t do everything but I can do something. Something for the four legged being. Animals may not literally speak. But they do speak language of love, which is easy to understand.  Wherein words are often misunderstood. Looking after an animal in our vicinity and around. If I see an animal abuse, stop it, and don’t you dare forget to beat the shit of that coward. Doing small things like feeding them, giving water or just stroke with love to these wonderful furry souls. Makes you feel so wonderful about our own selves. Trust me dude… Just try it. And if you can adopt one and foster… Voilà !!!!! You are in for an affair of a lifetime,  no break up, no make up. Just everlasting selfless love and warmth.  You know what ‘ The Best Things In Life Are Rescued’.

http://bluecrossofindia.org

(dont be a vagabond, be a Bond.. James Bond. Rescue. Foster. Care. DON’T WALK AWAY)

Adoption isn’t only claiming over a life. It is about nurture, care, selfless love and sincere commitment for a  better world. Fostering not only young ones of a being but also inanimate being . Yes, why not inculcate a simple habit like watering  a plant around you. I mean isn’t that wow… To see the beauty around you grow,  with your simple effort.

Effort is what makes all the difference. Difference in some one’s life, in environment, in society. Also very important is to adopt a lifestyle, a positive attitude and values which takes us closer to our own selves. Adopt a value oriented approach towards life more than price oriented. After all, ‘ A Little Effort Is More Memorable, Than Expensive Gifts’

(P.S. Inputs by Shera and Chonty..thank you guys:)
